There was 10 seconds left of the game. Up by 13, It was pretty much dead and buried. I'm sure fans wanted to see the dunk as you hear there reaction of it being stolen.

It was for entertainment, the fans got to talk about something on the way home. Would you rather gloat about someone being so good, or how much of a fool someone looked?
I actually thought it was pretty smart of him to do, it goes to show these games aren't all about 1-2 guys it's about everyone playing. I would think that way even if Tyler Hansbrough made that play (A few years back)
And Wall got his dunk at the end, so it doesn't really matter if Monroe was a douche or not.
